I would give it six stars if I could! I felt at home here.
I went here last night with my family and loved the warm feeling of the restaurant. The staff were very polite and took the time to answer any questions we had. They even gave us a little extra on the appetizers so that it would be enough for four people.
Highly recommend their beef sourced from the Chianina cow - google it, it is crazy huge.
Shoutout to the owner of the restaurant who made it a great dinner for all of us.

My friend and I stumbled upon this place while walking around looking for a place that was neither packed nor unappealing on a Saturday night. And we were pleasantly suprised! Best service! Delicious food and wine! Also checkin on yelp for a discount!
Fresh bread with olive oil for starters, then I had the honey steak per recommendation of the waiter. Also ordered the Italian beans as a side. It was so good! The beans looked plain but was packed with flavor! If all beans tasted like that I would eat beans every time!
This is a hidden gem. I highly recommend! -

Awesome place to pop in for lunch or dinner. The waiter and the owner were fantastic and kind. My fiancé and our family went in for lunch on our first full day in Florence and were happy with everything from the salads to the pizza to the pasta! They spoke good English too, I would recommend dropping in if you're in the area!

My mom, my girlfriend and I went to Lo Scudo our first night in Florence. Crystian made our experience so wonderful. He educated us on the food we were ordering, made awesome suggestions and all in all made our dinner absolutely amazing. The porcini mushroom raviolis were amazing and taken over the top with the fresh black truffles!! He was such a sweetheart and treated us to limoncello shots :) An extra added bonus when we ran into him the next day and he gave us an amazing suggestion for another restaurant to try that night and even meet us there and told us what to order!! Can't speak highly enough about how his kindness contributed to our trip can't wait to come back to Florence and Lo Scudo, it'll be like coming home, thank you so much

Don't miss this place !!! Can't say enough amazing thing about this place. The food is The best we had in Italy. Great wine list. The owner who was also our server, make great recommendations on food and wine. I couldn't decide between 2 items on the menu, I told him to pick, he brought BOTH out. Such a wonderful experience. We were only in Florence for 3 nights and had dinner here twice. Can't wait to go back!
